Happy Birthday Bungy!!!

By

on

This month Marks the Birthday of Jungle Bungy Jump in Phuket, The very First Jungle Bungy. 20 Years already. It has had a Colourful History which I have known from Day 1! I had been Working on Patong Beach with “New Sensations Bungy” since 1991 and this obviously caught the attention of a Like Minded Ian Jamieson who in 1992 set up then Tarzans Jungle Bungy Jump with the Help of one of My staff “Goe” and My Equipment that Mysteriously went Missing!!! The Name Tarzans was later dropped due to Copyright issues so it simply became “Jungle Bungy”. Anyway as Fate would have it Life Turned full Circle and a week before that Fateful Tsunami in 2004 My Good Friend Terry managed to put a Deal together with the then Owner Gary Paletta so Terry, His Friend Jeff and Myself brought back the Bungy only to have Business seriously Hampered by the Tragic Tsunami! Anyway having endured a number of Disastrous Tourism affecting events in Thailand since that time Terry Who Manages the Site has still managed to turn Jungle Bungy Phuket into a successful operation so good for Him and Happy Birthday Phuket Bungy!!!

20 Great Years and lets hope there will be many More!!!

Cheers.

Hi Francis, I guess You would have been Watching the Catapult Site at the Expat Hotel? I set up the Original one there with a Mobile Crane then started Working for Tarzans in 1993 when they put a Tower up. I mainly only operated Overseas Sites for them, Worked on the Thailand Sites again since 1999 setting up on Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and Pattaya. Koh Samui was Lost to Corruption and a Scamming English man, We made Chiang Mai part of Our X-Centre here and Terry brought some Land and still operates the Pattaya “Jungle Bungy” All in All a Colourful History!
    Cheers.
